Recitation Degrees

-         TAHQEEQ

-            HADR

-         TADWEER

-         NOTE

TAHQEEQ

To recite Quran with deliberation and content, pondering on its meanings, and regarding all Tajweed rules, pronouncing each word correctly.

HADR

To recite Quran quickly, but regarding all Tajweed rules.

TADWEER

Between Tahqeeq and Hadr.

These reciting systems are permitted. They all are accounted as The Tarteel system which Allah says: ﴿وَرَتِّلِ الْقُرْآنَ تَرْتِيلاً { And recite the Quran as it ought to be recited. } (Al-Muzammil: 4).

Note

Some scholars consider Tarteel as an independent degree coming after Tahqeeq. Reciting in both degrees is with deliberation, content and deep thinking on the verse meanings and regarding Tajweed rules. The difference between them is that; Tahqeeq is educational, when the learners should recite with more caution and interest to pronounce letters correctly and applying Tajweed Rules. But Tarteel is a recitation system that the reader tries it after passing learning step.
